Crostini Recipe


it’s festive season in India, and the festivals are lined up one after the other. It is also the time to enjoy  Crostini Recipe the special dishes especially made for the festivities. . Amongst all the sweets and heavy festival food, I decided to make something light and healthy to keep a check on the calorie intake. Apart from healthy and delicious, I love the burst of colors in this Crostini. I have used a multigrain loaf to make the base for the crostini but you can choose the bread you like . I have also made the herbed ricotta at home. If you are not in a mood to make your’s, just grate some paneer and mix a teaspoon of mixed dried herbs and a little salt in it. Here is how to make this Herbed ricotta and Roasted Tomato Crostini.


All you need is

Bread slices – 10-12

Herbed Ricotta – 1 cup ( Recipe to make Herbed Ricotta coming soon )

Cherry tomatoes – 200 g

Basil leaves – 10-12

Balsamic vinegar – 1/2 cup






Method of preparation

Pre heat the oven to 250 degrees C.

Wash the cherry tomatoes and arrange them on a baking sheet in a single layer.

Set the oven to grill mode and grill the tomatoes for 20-30 minutes till slightly blackened.

Remove from oven and keep aside.

Mean while, heat the balsamic vinegar in a pan till it is slightly thickened.

Do not over cook otherwise it will burn.

Remove from heat and keep aside.

Arrange the bread slices in the baking sheet and grill till slightly browned.

Remove from oven.

Top with some herbed ricotta.

Top with roasted cherry tomatoes, basil leaves and drizzle some balsamic reduction on top.

Serve warm.
